Astaxanthin complex – the king of antioxidants derived from microalgae
Astaxanthin is a natural extract from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis (H. Pluvialis) – the same algae responsible for the pink-red pigmentation of wild salmon and crustaceans. As nature’s most potent carotenoid, Astaxanthin has the highest known ORAC value (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) – a measure of its ability to combat oxidative stress. Astaxanthin’s ability to quench free radicals is 6,000 times greater than vitamin C.
The form used in our Astaxanthin Complex is AstaPure, containing the highest available concentration of astaxanthin, as well as a complex of other beneficial carotenoids including lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene. In addition to these powerful antioxidants, amino acids and fatty acids also offer a broad range of health benefits, enhance its bioavailability and increase cell membrane stability.

Sustainable and pureUnlike most astaxanthin grown in outdoor ponds, AstaPure is cultivated in a climate-controlled, closed system, resulting in exceptionally pure microalgae.
